PETER PRINCE: singer-songwriter-guitarist is one of the Northeast rock scene’s most colorful and beloved musicians. This nationally known powerhouse performer spent over twelve years as the voice and front man of the funk/rock/soul outfit Moon Boot Lover. With a fresh musical perspective and plans to release multiple albums in 2006, Peter Prince will showcase the versatility and universal appeal of his songwriting, his captivating voice and stellar musicianship that have made him a live concert favorite for over a decade. With Prince at the helm, Moon Boot Lover released three albums: Outer Space Action in 1994, 1995’s Live Down Deep, and Back On Earth released in 2000. These three recordings feature and all-star crew of musicians that includes Alan and Neal Evans (from the band Soulive), Owen Yost, (also a veteran of Broadway musicals and high-profile tours for such artists as Tommy James and the Shondells); Jon Hawes (also formerly of Percy Hill), and current Assembly of Dust drummer Andy Herrick. During that time, Prince also spent two years fronting the all-star outfit Peter Prince and the Trama Unit; a Muscle Shoals-influenced project that featured members of Deep Banana Blackout, Jiggle the Handle, Benevento/Russo Duo, Schleigho and Ron Levy’s Wild Kingdom. No matter the setting, Prince has endeared himself to audiences all over the country by delivering his one-of-a-kind dynamic, high-energy performances. Touring extensively over the last twelve years, Prince has also supported such diverse acts as Galactic, Derek Trucks Band, Frank Zappa-alumni Ike Willis, Keller Williams, and Dave Mathews-collaborator Tim Reynolds. Prince also took part in a “Rock the Vote tour” sharing the stage with moe., the Ominous Seapods and Yolk, while also appearing at such large-scale festivals like the Gathering of the Vibes, the Berkshire Mountain Music Festival, the moe.down, and recently at the Home Grown Music Network’s 10th anniversary festival, where he has been a featured artists since the network’s inception.
