New York's brownfield cleanup regulations are not protective and could jeopardize the health of people who work or live on remediated sites. CEC is part of a coalition of state and national groups seeking to improve the state's soil cleanup standards.
Working with the Center for Health, Environment & Justice, Environmental Advocates, NYPIRG and Sierra Club Atlantic Chapter, CEC is organizing for reform of the Brownfield Cleanup Program so that the historic 2003 law will truly protect children and the environment from toxic threats.
